(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Halab Endowments Office in Syria plans to hold a competition on best Adhan recitation to select the best Mu’adhins for mosques in Halab.
Registration for the competition will start from Saturday, October 9.
As the largest city of Syria with 3 million citizens, Halab is called Shahre Hezar Masjed (a city with thousand mosques).
The best Adhan recitations will be selected by three judges from among experts in principles of Sowt, Lahn and melody.
According to the report, about 500 mu’adhins in Halab are not familiar with these principles and do not qualify for Adhan recitation. That is why the officials decided to hold the competition to be able to substitute them with experts for Adhan recitation in mosques of the city.
